After many months of filings, applications, phone calls, and hard work, LV soLVe was granted tax exempt status by the IRS!
On 4/6/2018 around 11am, we received the following letter of determination stating that LV soLVe is exempt from federal income taxes. Donors of LV soLVe can officially deduct contributions under IRC Section 170 .
Of course, while the favorable ruling has been an extremely positive step for LV soLVe and its mission, not much will change. Since our foundation, we have always intended to be as transparent as possible with an open ledger. We also intend to have the smallest possible overhead with documented public proof of all our charitable endeavors.
